LA FLEUR REYNAUD

Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux

  • La Fleur Reynaud, our AOC Castillon - Côtes de Bordeaux cuvée is produced on the hillsides of Castillon la Bataille, on splendid clay-limestone soils.

  • The vines of this entity have an average age of 30 years.

  • As in Saint-Emilion, the majority of grape varieties is Merlot (65%), supplemented by Cabernet Franc (20%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%), two grape varieties which find on these well-exposed hilltops all the faculties to express their tannic and aromatic potential.

  • The aging of this cuvée is 6 to 12 months depending on the vintage.

  • La Fleur Reynaud generally produces 15,000 bottles.

  • Tasting: purple red colour; pleasantly vanilla nose on a background of black and red fruits with notes of undergrowth; the attack is supple; a nice tannic structure develops on the palate with good sweetness.

  • Peak: 5 to 10 years.
